Hi! I’m Jim Tennies (tenn-is). I established Tennies Home Inspection in the Spring of 2016 and am now serving Chautauqua, Erie, and Cattaraugus counties.
I completed the 140-hour Certified Adult Training Services Home Inspector Program and am licensed by the State of New York. Additionally, I have an Associate Degree in Occupational Science in Building Construction, a Bachelor’s of Science in Vocational Technical Education, and from 1986 to 2000 I was a building contractor based out of Westfield, New York. In addition to running a small business, I have a Master’s Degree in Special Education and teach at Chautauqua Lake Central School. My greatest asset is my ability to interact with the realtor and client and produce a clear, concise technically exhaustive report in an understandable manner.
When I’m not working, I spend time hiking, biking, doing home improvement projects, and hanging out with my wife and kids!
